Hayk Ryan
is a poet of silence, fracture, and the dissolving word.
Born on September 8, 1991, in Kirovakan (now Vanadzor), Republic of Armenia, he moved in early childhood with his family to the village of Kugoyevsky in southern Russia, where he lived until 2009. He holds a degree in engineering: a bachelor’s and master’s in water supply and wastewater systems from the Rostov State University of Civil Engineering, and a postgraduate degree from the Don State Technical University.
He has been writing poetry since 2002.
Hayk Ryan's work has been adapted into an award-nominated short featured at the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival 2025 (Berlin), the world's leading platform for poetry films.
